Health Screening Packages Singapore Review: Which screening test to get?

Is it time for a check-up? Which is the best health screening test to get in Singapore?

health screening singapore
There are many private companies and hospitals in Singapore promoting health screening packages in Singapore. It's also clear from browsing around forums and popular healthcare marketing sites that there is a lot of myths and misinformation being spread. Researching online is not as simple as one might think as misinformation could lead you to be scammed by health scams or you could end up with an unnecessary procedure.

Which tests you need depends on your age, your sex, your family history, and whether you have risk factors for certain diseases. Therefore, it's not as simple as doing some online research and choose the health screening package yourself.

You should visit your family doctor or a medical doctor who knows you best to decide on the best health screening package for you.

We have compiled a list of health screening packages offered by hospitals in Singapore that you can consider. You may go through this list so that you could start an informed conversation with your family doctor.

Raffles Medical Group Health Screening Packages

Raffles Medical Group (RMG) is a leading integrated private healthcare provider in Asia, operating medical facilities in thirteen cities in Singapore, China, Japan, Vietnam and Cambodia. It is the only private medical provider in Singapore that owns and operates a fully integrated healthcare organisation comprising a tertiary hospital, a network of family medicine and dental clinics, insurance services, Japanese and Traditional Chinese Medicine clinics, and a consumer healthcare division.

Raffles Health Screeners is a dedicated health screening centre that offers holistic, comprehensive and a personalised approach to preventive care.

Tan Tock Seng Hospital Health Screening Packages

TTSH is a public hospital. If you are not a Singapore resident, you may find it more difficult to book a health check up appointment compared to a private hospital. Most public hospitals have heavy patient loads and appointment dates may not be as prompt as you like due to the number of days you are staying in Singapore.

Changi General Hospital Health Screening Packages

Screening is conducted over two outpatient visits by appointment. On your first visit, you will be examined by our doctor to assess your medical conditions, risk factors for various diseases and current health status. Our doctor will also have a discussion with you regarding the suitability of your chosen package. The health screening tests/procedures depending on the type of package selected will take 2 to 4 hours to complete.

On your second visit, you will receive a personalized medical report on your test results and overall health status, as well as advice on how you can improve or maintain your health. Where appropriate, our doctors will refer you to specialist doctors for further evaluation and management.

Health Screening Singapore Review

The Comparison of Health Screening Packages - debu999
Feb 2017: Recently I joined a Investment bank which offer insurance package with a biyearly Complimentary Health Screening Checkup.
While a lot of tests are common a few key differences are always there in the packages.
I compared the 4 top four google search results on health screening in singapore
Comparing Changi General Hospital, Raffles , SATA, and HealthScreening.SG.
Of all HealthScreening.SG offer looks better compared to other packages but it wlll depend on users preference and medical history which will be better.
For the illustration purpose
I have used the following common packages
1. Raffles - Delux(S$450)/Delus Plus(S$580)
2. CGH - Core Package(S$365)
3. SATA - Premere Package(S$511.45)
4. HealthScreening.sg - Delux General((M)S$458/S$468(F))

There are few nuances for Male and Female Checkups, I have ignored them as they seem to be available similar as to the all the above four.

Let me know your comments if any other hospital to be included. I have kept the regular check cost to be around S$500. Others are too costly for regular health screening and thus needed only for special cases.
