Patient with persistent pain wants explanation

A HOUSEWIFE plans legal action if a hospital cannot explain why she continues to suffer severe pains following a bone operation last year.

Talagawadi Ramasamy, 47, said she underwent four operations since December 2010 at Pantai Hospital, Taman Cheras, which cost her more than RM30,000.

She said as the pain persists, she was forced to go to Kuala Lumpur Hospital where after undergoing two more surgeries, the injury had not healed.

"I used all up my savings and sold all my jewellery to pay for my surgeries and what has it done for me? I only suffer constant pain day and night.

During my first operation, they installed a metal brace and 14 screws into my left leg.

"After that I was told to come back to the hospital for three more operations as doctors told me the fracture did not heal after the operation. How can this be?"
